Dissapointed and Shocked

I was involved in a car accident with one of Avis employees and decided to handle the claim instead of going through my insurance company. Biggest mistake of my life and a lesson well learned. As advised by the person who bumped my car who is Avis employee. I submitted 2 quotations from reputable panel beaters to Avis. These were both done in May. MAG Panel beaters quoted R11424.05 and GH Panel beaters R13091.81. According to Avis assessor the damages on my car are worth R7525.47. Now where!!! on Earth does AVIS expect me to raise the other outstanding amount so that I can take my car to either one of the two panel beaters? This amount does not even cover for the cheapest quotation from MAG panel beaters. There is an outstanding amount of R3898.58. I've waited for more than 5 months for this matter to be resolved and now that I think everything is sorted out I'm given a settlement less than what my quotations stated. I'm very disappointed and want Avis to tell me where to raise the extra money so that my car can be fixed? If I go back to the panel beaters are the amounts going to remain the same after 5 months?
