Disrespecting their clients

Was in an accident got curtesy car from Avis , the lack of respect to thier clients avis delivered a car that gave me problems on the second day, they called me a week later for replacement which was okay. I arranged for a drop off as am on crutches they delivered to my workplace, and I asked if I could drop the car with the panel beater on mine is ready, Mike said I have to call the branch to make arrangement the day am collecting my car which i did. My car was ready I dropped the car, I got a call from recovery team spoke to - Trevor on *** to recovery the car I advised that I dropped the car as arranged with the brunch he said he will call me back which he never did. I then called auto magic panel beater that confirmed the car was collected and called Trevor back he apologized for the confusion. I am not sure what is going on there. My experience with Avis Krugersdorp branch was bad. ChatGPT said: I'm really sorry to hear about your frustrating experience with Avis. It sounds like you've been dealing with quite a bit of miscommunication and a lack of proper service, especially considering you're already on crutches and trying to manage a lot.

From what you’ve described, it seems like Avis Krugersdorp's communication was disjointed, and you had to repeatedly follow up with different people, only to be met with confusion or delays. That’s definitely not the level of service you should expect, especially when you're already going through the hassle of having your car repaired.

Have you considered escalating this complaint directly to Avis? If you haven’t already, you could try reaching out to their customer service team or their head office. It might also help to keep a written record of all the interactions you’ve had (dates, names, and details), just in case you want to take it further or seek compensation for the inconvenience.

Do you feel comfortable with me helping you draft a formal complaint, or are you thinking of pursuing another solution?

You said: Yes ChatGPT said: Great — here’s a draft of a formal complaint you can send to Avis. You can send it via email, through their customer service portal,

I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the poor service I received from the Avis Krugersdorp branch during the period I had a courtesy vehicle, following an accident.

On the second day of using the initial courtesy vehicle provided, I experienced problems with the car. Avis contacted me a week later to arrange a replacement, which I appreciated. Due to being on crutches, I requested the vehicle be delivered to my workplace — this was accommodated.

However, when my personal vehicle was ready for collection from the panel beaters (Auto Magic), I asked if I could return the courtesy vehicle there. Mike from your team advised me to contact the branch on the day I was collecting my car, which I did. I followed this instruction and dropped the Avis car off at the panel beater as agreed.

Shortly after, I received a call from someone on your recovery team — Trevor ***). He claimed the car had not been collected and said he would call me back, which he never did. I took the initiative to follow up with Auto Magic, who confirmed the vehicle was collected. I then informed Trevor, who apologized for the confusion.

This entire experience has been stressful and frustrating, made worse by the lack of clear communication and follow-through from your team. I was already dealing with the inconvenience of an accident and limited mobility, and I expected better coordination and respect from a company of Avis’s reputation.

I am requesting a formal apology and a review of the service processes at the Krugersdorp branch to prevent other clients from experiencing similar issues. I would also appreciate confirmation that my record reflects no outstanding issues with the returned vehicle.
