Disgusting

AVIS claims instruction has been given to release funds owed to me that was frozen upon rental. But, my bank says there is nothing on their side that indicates any funds outstanding to me.

PLEASE BE WARNED

DO NOT REN A CAR FROM AVIS AND ALLOW THEM TO FREEZE MONEY IN YOUR ACCOUNT

Hi Dennis,

Thank you for your feedback,

Please note that a communication was sent to your bank to confirm if the holding deposit was released automatically by your bank after you returned the vehicle and feedback given by your bank was that these amounts were released and there is nothing on hold in your account.

When you call your bank and they advise that there are no funds outstanding in your account, it means whatever amount that was held in your account was already released back to your available balance, there is no amount that is pending that needs to be released back to you as this has already been done.

As we have advised, when these amounts are released, they fall back onto your available funds, the amount will not reflect on your statement, nor will you get any SMS from your bank.
