Disappointed
Today marks 2 month waiting for refund from avis. I was told that they will check with the bank if money is stuck or released already.

10 Jan 2024, 17:00Dear Tlou, thank you for your patience. We have investigated your matter and the following has been established:
Avis requests your bank to reserve a temporary authorisation hold against the funds of your card. Your bank will usually present this as a pending transaction that reduces the money you have available to spend. This might appear as a debit on your statement, but it is not. No funds are debited from your bank account.
The authorization amount was automatically released back into your available balance. However due to this being a personal card, No further information can be supp**** to us, such as the date of the release. You may contact your bank directly in order to acquire this information.
Thank you. The Avis Team
