Continuous and willful breach of own conditions

<p>In 2015 I raised an issue with Avis, i.e. that their Preferred members benefits could not exclude Multiply as it is not a benefits scheme as denoted in their terms (a long explanation was provided). Melissa Van Ross was not too interested in anything but an executive minded application of the exclusion of Multiply but on 8 December 2015 telephonically undertook that Preferred would early in the new year (2016) do 'something special' for Multiply members. This never happened and I did not get any further feedback. As such my last rental with Avis was 1 Feb 2016 (I had 12 rentals in 2015) when I gave up on them. In Sept 2016 I was however required to again rent from them (given the location I needed to rent from). I then realised that the amount reserved on my credit card exceeded the cost of rental plus fuel provision substantially. The term provided when the rental is confirmed is exactly that, i.e. rental cost plus fuel projection. When I inquired Van Ross merely told me that its a universal US$135,00 provision. When I confronted her with the term she again ignored my correspondence. I would thus suggest staying away from Avis as they solely apply their terms when and in the manner it suits them and Van Ross is merely their 'we do what we like' spokesperson. I dred to think what could happen if the vehicle is in an accident as the terms is ignored when it suits them.</p>
