My name is Nosipho I hired a car from Avis last year on the 24th of September for 4 days i paid R 4531.76 portion of the amount it was for hiring a car and other portion it was catered for any car damages ,exceeding the time frame. i never got anything back then i was fine with that cause i was aware, six moths later down the line Avis tried to debit my account without my knowledge or any notification they tried 8 times, of which i had no funds available into my account my bank account it accumulated charges 8.50 x 7 times i was not even aware it was Avis since they do not communicate with their client thought there was ***** into my account i even blocked my card..i called my bank i was told Avis tried to debit my account. I called Avis they told me i have outstanding traffic fine of R 325 i requested original copy of traffic fine from traffic department , it was never sent instead they tried to debit my account again further charges accumulated of which they succeeded this time then left my bank balance on -R 325 then my bank charged R 96 for that transaction .two days later they debited my account again with another R 325 without any notification again. my account remains on -650 bank charged me another R 96 for that transaction my account ended up being on -R 930 because on Avis, i called Avis again ask them why they debited my account for the second time they told me i have 2 traffic fines for R 325 i requested copy of traffic fines again cause now i was getting confused why i was not told from the begging that i have 2 traffic fines. i dint receive those copies until today. it was my 1st time using their services and i had bad experience with them i wouldn't recommend anyone to use their service how can you debit someone's account after 6 months without any notification. it will be better if they notify a person before debiting so we can cater for that amount without accumulating any charges. i request Avis to reimburse total amount of R 251.50 for the charges they created into my account which is (R 8.50 X 7 and R 96 X 2 and also send me copy of traffic fines as requested before so that i can acknowledge the two outstanding fines how can i pay for something without seeing any proof. Now i had to close that account and open the new one because i scared Avis might try to debit my account again without my knowledge and accumulate more charges
