Charged for damages and no deposit received back!

<p>On 23 May 2017 we hired a car at Avis Budget car hire at Port Elizabeth airport. We already paid the booking online the week before and was told to only pay R2200 deposit and the extras we require. After waiting about 30-1hour all was sorted and was good to go. We were not informed that someone should meet us outside to do inspection or do inspection by ourselves, we noticed some minor damages on the car (dents and scratches) and went on our way. On 28 May 2017 we took the car back and only then a man was standing outside to inspect the cars! He noticed damages which we noticeed on the day we took the car and he notified the front desk lady. There was no inspecction documents to be found as there was no inspection done in the first place, the lady then said its fine we can go. a few days later I received a sms saying there is damages billed for R1707.02!!! They also never paid my deposit back and making up stories!!!! I will take this matter further!!!!!!!!!!!</p>
