Be Careful

Hi everyone, I would like to help you avoid having an experience like I had yesterday with Avis at Cape Town Airport. We found our wheel clamped when getting back to our car!!! Ok, so on our arrival at the airport we looked for parking, so we enquired at Avis 'car collection' office where we could park, one of the guys there told us we could park near the Avis parking bays, which we did. As I was parking there another Avis guy walked by and said nothing about us parking there.... Afterall, we had not seen any traffic cones blocking the entrance etc. Therefore, we had not 'broken through' *******ly...And we trusted the Avis official's word anyway...we shouldn't have trusted them...We will remember not to trust them next time... When we got back 15 minutes later our wheel was clamped...We approached Avis main office and explained everything as written here but they were no good... We told them that if we had known that it was a no no to park there then we would not have parked there!!.. well, we paid R500!!! Their attitude and service was really unacceptable! Guys please make double sure, about where you get told you may park by any Avis or other official, because for all you know you might get cheated on like we were...
