The company I am working for; booked the car for me on the 23 April 2018 to be collected at AVIS Hatfield in Duncan Street. I was late as I went to the wrong AVIS at the corner of Gordon and Jan Shoba. They directed me to the one in Duncan Street .
When I got there , there is this guy who opened the door for me and I went straight to the counters. there were a lady and a gentlemen at the counter, they immediately started to attack the guy who opened the door for me, saying we are close. The guy responded by saying I did not know that this lady is coming to collect the vehicle , I thought she was here to ask for information.
Those two employees did not even greet me because they were buzy shouting the guy who opened the door for me. I stood there and they kept on saying "we don't give people cars when we are closed". The only thing that made me to leave is when that guy said "maybe we don't even have the car you are looking for ".
If I was a white person they were going to help me, or maybe it was they way I was dressed in shorts? there were not even a sign of them leaving those counters, each one of them were standing in front of their computers. I did not like the attitude I was given by those two employees, and I will never use Avis cars again. I am a customer and I deserve to be treated with respect. That night I was suppose to drive to Polokwane for the 7 am meeting and I couldn't, because I was late to collect the car.
Avis employees must not think that by booking those cars I do not have a car at home, If they can just see the car that I drive, those two employees they will feel sorry for themselves.
Avis is a brand and employees must n't ruin or damage it's reputation. Employees must always try to go an extra mile to assist clients, not matter the closing time, if they are still in the building.
