Avis Unprofessional / *********

Booked a vehicle for the 15th of October from Avis in order to travel from OR Thambo to Potchefstroom. The booking was done at Avis Potchefstroom under my name, my sister was the driver. All information was given to the consultant Thabiso Seroalo, he quoted me on a VW Polo and informed me that they will reserve an amount of R5000 on my credit card, which I accepted. When my sister went to collect the vehicle at Avis OR Thambo they informed her that she cannot get the vehicle as they wanted to reserve an additional R2850 on my credit card but the transaction was declined. I went to the offices in Potchefstroom and the consultant who assisted me the previous day contacted the supervisor at OR Thambo in order to arrange for the release of the vehicle, he spoke to him on the phone and informed me that the problem was sorted and that they will release the vehicle. My sister waited another 1and 1/2 hours, the team leader who's name I do not know (Mark Naude take note of this, it is your team leader) was making excuses and informed her that he did not receive a email from Avis Potch in order to release the vehicle, he did also not make any attempt to resolve the problem, where after my sister had to phone Avis Potch in order to request that they send him an email. This teamleader at OR Thambo's service was pathetic and he obviously was trying to aggravate us by going slow and playing stupid. They then gave my sister a Datsun, where as my instruction was that it should be a VW Polo. The following day I noticed that they did reserve an additional amount of R3200 on my credit card coming to an amount of R8200 which I did not agree to. Avis I will tell everybody how pathetic you are, your staff is unprofessional and your operating methods is *********. Mark Naude / Leon Heyns I hope you take note of this, please ensure that my money on my credit card is released by tomorrow 18/10. I am also not willing to pay the rental on that Datsun as my agreement with your offices was for a VW Polo.
