<p>So I typucally&nbsp;use monthly car rentals. Earlier this year, I chose AVIS...&nbsp;for&nbsp;a booking from 7th January to 25th February 2017. For this duration, AVIS confirmed a daily rate of R173/day with me for a Group A rental. Due to their system limitations, they bill after every 30 days. My first distaste was the series of hidden charges by AVIS, realizing after the fact that they snuck in over 15% to my first month rental, thereby charging me R6k instead of just over R5k for the first 30 day period ending 7th February. For the second part of this period (from 7th to 25th February) and the biggest disappointment, AVIS charged me R550/day after the fact! This was for the same car and the same contract... a&nbsp;Hyundai i10. AVIS just abused the trust I placed in giving them my credit card details and slammed me a whopping R10k bill for 18 days instead of R3k bill!!! My advice to all is choose your rental company wisely.&nbsp;</p>
