Avis rips you off on minor scratches which you didn't even make.

Terrible experience with Avis. They rip you off with exorbitant charges on damageswhich you didn't make. I hired a car for the argus weekend and was charged over R1000 for a light scratch on the rear bumper which I did not make. I requested video footage showing that the car was undamaged on collection and despite confirming they would provide this, they just debited my account. They are sharks and you have no recourse because they put a hold on your credit card. I really doubt they even repair the vehicle at all, better to just charge the next customer again for the same thing. I am NEVER using avis again
