AVIS RIPS-OFF SOUTH AFRICANS

Yesterday I made a reservation for a car in New York on line through Avis SA and were quoted $750 (R9747). Out of interest I also contacted [URL Removed] for an identical booking and was quoted $675 (R8166). When I questioned AVIS ZA the only explanation was that each reservation centre offered different packages. Why?<br> As usual we in SA always have to pay more for everything than elsewhere in the World. My advice is, if renting an Avis car outside Africa then better book with Avis International and not with Avis South Africa.<br>
