When I rented a car at Avis King Shaka Airport on the 3 Jul 25 at 18h50, I was informed that I have an upgrade, without asking for it. I was sent an whats app the following morning to inform me to take photos of the car at various angles and of the license disk. I did and forwarded everything to them. They confirmed on receiving it. When returning the car on the 8 July, clean and filled up with fuel, at 15h00, and inspector was waiting for me. He immediately in formed me that a dent was in the boot door. I could not see anything. He then opened the boot for the sun to shine on it and still could not see the bump. He then took my hand to feel over the bump. I could barely feel a bump. He told me to fill in a report, which I did. A few days later I was informed that over a Thousand will be taken off my credit deposit to have the bump fixed. I wrote emails to them to send me the photos I took of the car. No response. My questions are, a. Was the bump already there when i collected the car as it was at night, b. did the inspector hand in my report? c. why aren't the photos of the car sent to me? I'm a pensioner and this is not the way to treat a client. I have had responses from many people on FB that it also happened to them and with other serious matters. I will never in my life rent another vehicle from Avis. Terrible service.
