Avis rip-off by billing clients for recycled scratches

My bank successfully recovered a queried damages debit March 21. Avis relationships person even called in to apologize.. FF, October, I'm thanked for using avis (which I haven't and never again will) and forwarded same Feb invoice now "due immediately " its a shame that Avis is clearly, desperately, doubledipping in rental fees, insurance and billing easy targets (black, women) from recycled scratches which should be fixed before passing to next client logic being chances are previous client has been billed for same. Actually if there's visible scratches on checkout, chances are there's others hidden, waiting to be discovered by avis syndicate collectors. I've used avis several times before on official business but never had someone going underneath to check damages on return , could it be because I was always with other race colleagues? This time it was collected from home after our car was ******. Recollecing the incident and mannerisms of the guy who collected I may have missed a hint to tip/bribe, unfortunately I don't entertain that. The guy didn't even look at the existing visible scratches previously identified on the doors but went straight under the front bumper resurfacing with a scratch to cost me nearly R2000. Can't be a coincidence. Time to look at other car hire options.

Right, but who exactly at Avis? Clearly the first lot did not make any note after "resolving" in March. Shouldn't the response include a contact email? Reservation *** until 1March 2021.
