Avis rent a car - where is my money???
Rented a car from Avis on the 28 and returned on the 2nd of may 2023. They debuted my credit account a total of R16 794,77 with the invoice amount being R8 674.52. I was told it’s a security deposit I’ve called twice since then it is the the 19th of may and still the money has been returned and I was told my bank is not holding any of the money that should be returned to me.

There has been no amounts that have been released back into my account it’s been the same since it was taken from Avis ,and I have not received any of the funds back
So kindly advise ?

19 May 2023, 12:38If Fnb doesn’t have any money to be released to me and you didn’t “bank” the money and I don’t have the missing money .. where did it go ? If the only evidence I have is that Avis debit that cash from my account!!

Any funds debited by Avis will reflect on your bank statement as a debited amount. If it is not reflecting on your bank statement, it was not debited from your account by Avis. Hence, we have advised that your bank will need to reconcile your bank statement, so you see when the funds were released.
When the deposit is released, it simply increases your available balance without any notification.
