AVIS REFUSING WITH MY DEPOSIT
After was involved in car accident my insurance book me Avis car. On 29 September 2023 i went to collect the car, i waited more than 3 hours for Avis dispatch to bring the Class A car to the Pretoria central branch. eventually they gave me class B. I Paid R2500 cash deposit. returned car 26 sept 2023 and they did inspection, found wheel cap scratched and they noted on quality check envelope. i called today asking when they goin to pay me my deposit and they told me am owing them. R4000 "Right fender damaged". when i took the car back nothing was damaged except small scratch on plastic wheelcap which i agree on. I drove to their branch and found the car there and no such damage. on the paper work they even have quote for the fender replacement. i have never received this kind of poor service that one is paying for at the end of the day. At the end of the day they just say WE APOLOGISE. if it was me as the customer on the wrong, i get charged.

Please be advised that the rental was still open at the branch level, because there were damages found on the vehicle. However, it has been closed. The damage amount came up to R5180.91 and the deposit you paid of R2500.00 has been used towards the cost. However, there is still an amount of R2680.91 that is due to us.
We will send the invoice and the damage documents to your email address.

02 Nov 2023, 09:45what damages. I even went to the branch yesterday the car does not have any damages is perfectly fine how i returned it. You are claiming the fender was damaged but when quality check was done no fender was damaged. i wen to your PTA branch yesterday the car was the just fine i even took pictures. This is nonsense. you just replying for public reviews. This is bull****. I will report you to the ombudsman
