AVIS Refund

My Avis Refund experience is a nightmare I want to share. I returned my IWyze insurance hired car back to Avis on the 3rd of October and I was told my deposit will be refunded 7-14 days thereafter. Today is the 25th of October and they have not returned my money. I called Avis twice on the 20th and 23rd. In both occasions the agents had no explanation for the delay and apologized profusely on behalf of the company. The last agent told me the refund had already been processed. It’s deep into the weekend and the money is nowhere. I asked the agent if the tables were turned and I returned the car much later than expected would Avis accept an apology and let me go free and she said “NO.” This is the sloppiest service I have had to experience with Avis and I am about to take this matter up with my insurance company for their intervention since Avis is their preferred service provider. For customer service I am convinced I cannot recommend this company albeit it is the first time the behave unseemly.
