Avis Petrol *****

Your review requires me to give a star rating from 1 to 5. I chose 1, but that is not what I want. I want to rate Avis as a 0 star.

I hired a car from Avis at OR Tambo from 28 Aug to 1 Sep 2022. I drove 722 kms with the car to Ngodwana and back. I filled the tank at 12:33 at Shell Ultra City Middelburg. I returned the car at 14:10, having travelled another 128 km. I have proof for all of this.

Avis charged me for a full tank of petrol, 42 liters (The car has a 37 liter tank. To everyone's surprise, I do not want the money back. I want Avis to keep the invoice as it is.

I am a senior consultant to one of the biggest private companies in South Africa. It is not my money that was ******, it is this company's money. I have already submitted my invoice to them.

What I will do is make all the information I have available to my client. I cannot guarantee how they will react, but based on my association with them I believe that Avis will pay for this theft over and over again.

In my personal capacity I will not make of Avis's services again. Its a pity for them, I was a regular customer. I am also going to pop over to the queue at Avis OR Tambo each month I pass there to pick up my car from another car rental company. I will give a quick warning to those in the queue to rather go to one of the many other rental companies.

Isn't competition a great thing?
