Avis Mondeor branch (Nonsense)0/10

I am so dissatisfied and disappointed by the Avis branch in Mondeor. On the 21 of July I fetched a vehicle rented by my insurance on my behalf. Upon handing over of the vehicle we assessed the vehicle with one of their representative,I pointed out scratches and damages on the car and he noted them or let me rather say I assumed he was doing that. On completion of the assessment he then said a copy will be send via email to me,even when I insisted I needed a copy he said I can only receive it via email and I did not till today.

The car was due to be returned on the 10th and was later extended for another 10 days. That was a maximum of 30 days. When I returned the car I was told to drop it off at OR TAMBO and when I arrived there the assessor of the vehicle pointed out the damage that was already on the vehicle as mine and I explained to him that I received the car like that. I was told to write a short description detailing the damages and handed over the vehicle and keys.

To my surprise on the 23rd I receive an email stating that I owe R1660 for the damage on the left bumper that was already there, like how did we get there? I called the branch asking for clarity and was told they can’t find the check sheet for the Mondeor branch and that they only see the OR TAMBO one. The representative promised to call me back and till today hasn’t called me.

Is it honestly fair that I pay for damages that I found on that car. This clearly shows that another client will be paying for that since they won’t fix it after robbing me of my hard earned cash, they will keep claiming over and over from clients for the same damage. I’m certain that’s how they Avis generates their money.

I would never recommend it and rate it 0
