Rented a car with Avis. I am asking for a refund on the installment that I already paid. I had already paid for the month of June, I then used the car for only a few days and returned it, and I was told that I will get my amount refunded, that should not take time because I have already returned the car!!!!

The deposit yes they can stick to normal time frames, but nothing stops them from refunding my installment pro rata. That amount should not be charged for whatever reason since it does not form part of the deposit. A deposit is security so that they can deduct amounts for any damages sustained during the course of the lease, there is no sound basis why they would then delay paying my refund because although they are still effecting the necessary repairs, nothing turns on it when it comes to my refund!!!!

I returned this car last week Friday already, there is therefore no rational basis for withholding my refund.

I am saying this as someone who holds an LLB and is actually an attorney. Please do right by me, your explanation is devoid of legal acumen. Please correct this urgently, you are withholding my refund ********ly.
