Avis Fuel *****
I rented a vehicle with Avis and drove only 40 kilometres during the rental. I refuelled the vehicle 10 minutes before returning it and showed them the slips as proof of refuelling. They have now charged me more than R400 to refuel an already full vehicle and refuse to assist to have the ********** invoiced amount refunded. I'm an avis Presidents club member and this is how you ***** from your clients. I have been waiting two weeks for the customer service consultant to get back to me and now I'm advised that they won't refund me as the branch says the tank was half?

That is R40 of fuel per kilometer which means that the vehicle uses almost 2 liters of fuel per kilometer??? That alone should show you something is wrong. I want someone senior at Avis to call me regarding this as there is clear indication that I am being de*****ed here...

02 Aug 2022, 17:11On top of that the fuel slip you are referring to (the Avis Refuel slip) was for the morning of the 15th July at 09:38, I only collected the vehicle at 15:15 that afternoon, so how can I be held accountable for someone else's fuel or a vehicle that was not in my possession? I returned the vehicle on the 18th of July at 08:54. Where is the Avis refuel slip for that day as you claim it needed to be refueled after I returned it?

On top of that the fuel slip you are referring to (the Avis Refuel slip) was for the morning of the 15th July at 09:38, I only collected the vehicle at 15:15 that afternoon, so how can I be held accountable for someone else's fuel or a vehicle that was not in my possession?
