Avis dragged my name into mud
I used to work for a company called Dynamic Auto finance specialist which had a contract with Avis to do long term rentals with their cars. When I started I was told to go fetch the car at Avis Marshalltown as consultants were given cars to with with. I worked for the company for 3 week and resigned and took back the car to the company and to my surprise Avis started calling me looking for the car from me. I told them that I don't work for the company anymore and the car was taken from me when I resigned. At a later stage Avis called me and told me that they recovered the car from the owner of the business. Which I thought all was OK. I went to Bidvest this Friday to rent a car I was told my name has been blacklisted within the car rental industry because of the car that was taken at Avis by a company under my name. What ****es me off is that firstly I was not there when Avis made a contract with Dynamic Auto, secondly I was an employee was send by the company that had agreement with them to give consultants cars, thirdly I was told by Avis that they have recovered the car and dealt with the owner of the company. Now how is this my problem to such that my name can be blacklisted for something that I don't even know, an agreement that was signed when I was not there. I was just an employee and as far as I can remember the conversation with the Avis person who called me they found the car from the owner of the company who had a signed business contract with them. Where does my name exactly fit in all these?????? Why exactly am I blacklisted here?????? I never signed any business deal with Avis, I never ran away with Avis car, no Avis car was ever recovered by police from me!!!!!!! SO WHY HAS MY NAME DRAGGED INTO THE MUD???????
