Avis dont do better !!

I often travel for work and business and always use AVIS.

On Sunday night I dropped mt rental car and whilst i was boarding i realised I left my sunglasses in the car. I immediately called AVIS as i really early and there was still time for someone to bring them to me before my flight. It took over 30minutes for them to even answer the phone!!

Then the consultant said he would check and get back to me which did not happen until I boarded and left.

By the time I got to Cape town the terminations department were the lost and found is kept - was closed and *** who was helping said he would call them in the morning since they had not started cleaning the cars before they closed.

In the morning he didn’t call me and I called again at 6am as soon as they opened but he had left work – a guy called Siya said they were still cleaning the cars and he would let me know. This didn’t happen.

I followed up again around 11 am and he said they were still busy and would call me. He didn’t call me.

In evening I was trying to call them repeatedly and couldn’t get through to the department.

This morning I have been trying again and eventually another consultant said he would go and speak to the supervisor and get back to me.

Still nothing.

My registration number was FB 57 XC GP it was silver ford.

These are designer Dolce and Gabanna sunglasses and they cost over R3700 , and this is a really big deal to me. the time and money i have spent o nthe phone to AVIS trying to sort this out is disgusting for a customer service orientated business such theirs.

Next thing they wil be telling me they didint find them in the car even though i was wearing them driving to the airport.

Do not ever use AVIs car hire if you value your possessions - EVER!
