Avis Deposit run around

Avis car rental is the worst you can deal with. i have dealt with Europcar and always satisfied but Avis is the worst. They have R1500 in my account from the 2/08/2022 and from the 16th i have been waiting for them to release my money but the only thing they know is give us your card number. I want my deposit because i brought back your car without any problem and you promised to release my money. Today they tell me they have to email my bank and check if the money is still there, i mean what kind of sick joke is that? Never ever hire a car from Avis especially if they want a deposit.
