Avis deposit outstanding for a month and counting

Avis rental *** was a rental car through Insurance, unfortunately, the insurance company use Avis which has been a horrible experience. The rental car was returned on the 3rd Dec 2024 upon claim finalisation. A deposit was paid by myself to Avis around the 18th Nov 2024, to date this deposit has not been refunded by Avis. Several phone calls have been made, Avis client services confirmed on the 18th Dec that the payment was in for processing, On the 3rd of January I followed up to be told they don't have my banking details, despite it being written on the Avis rental agreement form, this excuse is unbelievable. Shocking that Avis is so disorganised, very quick to swipe your debit card to ensure that they are paid but inefficient when refunds are due. Furthermore the vehicle had a full tank of petrol, now Avis are saying because they collected at my address they are charging for the petrol from my address to their office. What a joke they charge R500 collection fee, should that not cover the tiny bit of petrol used from residence to office. I would not recommend Avis, they appear to have some difficulties in admin and have very little client communication skills
