Avis debits credit card for damages not incurred.

Avis Centurion debited R2,000 from my credit card for damages I had not incurred. At the return inspection we picked up one small dent in a rear door - the size of a R5.00 coin. So small I had not noticed it. I filled in an Accident claim form and left. When I recieved an sms notification to say I was being charged R2,000, I demanded, and recieved the paperwork. My claim form was there, but in addition, they had used my details to make another form to which they added four more dents. This form was signed "Dummy". I was charged for all 5 dents. I assumed it was a mistake, but no! They argued! They tried to tell me that they could just make up new forms in my absence because they found new damage after I had left - damage that had been presumably invisible duting the return inspection. I had to fight to get them to refund me for the dents on the other side of the car that I knew nothing about. In addition, the panelbeater quoted R450 for bodylining and polishing. That is when a panel beater has to put filler in huge dents to restore the 'line' of the car. Clearly something that was not done for my 2cm shallow dent. They would not refund me. They also added R450 for admin, which they would not refund me, despite the hours of phone calls and 2 visits I have spent to try and sort this out. I still ended up paying R1500. Wow, Avis. Not your best hour.
