Avis debit people’s account without prior Authorisation

Hello Peter When l had car accident l got a hired car from AVIS. After the car was returned I saw 4 deductions on my credit card,amounting to R1572, l called them to find out what the debit for, they told me it was speeding fines. I requested those speeding fines they sent 1 speed fine duplicated to 4 fines, one fine with 4 diferent amounts

I called trafic police to confirm these 4 fines to my surprise they told me it was only 1 ticket of R107 for speeding. I have emailed Avis about this in November 2018 but up to now no response.

Please check your account if you hired Avis car. This debit from my account l was not told about, neither did l authorize it.
