Avis Car Rental is a joke
Got a rental while my car was in for repairs, took out the full insurance covered. Which cost me R3500 to make sure I was insured.
When I took the car back, there was a dog bite mark on the front bumper. And they took my entire deposit, and queried this with their head office, it's been two weeks. Nobody has contacted me, emailed me or even tried to call me.
Don't use Avis, don't take their "full coverage insurance" because they don't insure you and they do this to take your money. If I took the basic insurance, I'd still be a grand up and be fighting for my R2500.
Customer support is useless, their "insurance coverage" is appalling, and the vehicle I drove was due for a service, rattled, stank and essentially was a piece of **** that I insured just so they can keep my money.

I have not received an sms, I have not received an email, I have not even received a call to tell me why it's delayed or what the issue is. You keep saying you'll reach out, but a new week and another business day goes by with not even a word.
Did you even receive or read my original email?
Who does your support?
Who manages these teams?
What type of business do you run?

Why did you charge me R500 when the payment was meant to be R3500???

So I was charged for the insurance I covered, I.e windscreen chip. This is the first sign of you don't know what you're doing.
I was charged for E-tolls which I did not use.
I was also charged for the repairs to the vehicle which I paid the vehicle insurance for, totalling less than R3000.
So I took the full insurance coverage, then I was charged for damage respectively, that cost less than the insurance deposit.
You then charged me an admin admission fee?
The amount I paid was R4000 to insure the vehicle, the vehicle repairs costed a total of R2500 according to your invoice from the panel beater, and then you went ahead and charged for every part of the insurance I took out as well as taxes?
This is now in writing on an invoice from Avis and the repairer.
So if you take full insurance, if the damage is less then the deposit on the repairers invoice which you sent, you still get charged the full deposit.
Hah! Like I said in the beginning of my review, Avis is a joke.
In other words, don't use Avis and don't pay for their full insurance coverage. If I paid the basic coverage, again see previous comment. I'd still be up R1000.
Hence the low rating by 99% of your previous customers, daylight *******.
