Avis car rental - after 2 weeks we still waiting for Avis to get back to us.

<p>We rented a car through Budget car rentals which is under Avis car rentals on the 16th of September 2016 which we paid over the internet.</p> <p>When we arrived at O R Tambo Airport to pick up our car we were asked for our credit card as they had to do a credit check. After that we were given our car. Later we saw that an amount of almost R2000.00 was taken out of the account. On the 19th we filled the car with petrol and handed the car back we then asked about that amount (as we had paid for the car over the internet) and we were told that that money would be credited back to us within 24 hours. We have phoned and written emails to querry this but till today 10 days later we still have not heard from anyone at Avis or our money refunded.</p> <p>Totally pathetic service from Avis - will never rent a car from them again!</p>
