AVIS car Hire paris DO NOT ACCEPT CREDIT CARDS!!!!!! in 2020????

i booked a car online with AVIS for paris charles de gaulle airport. when i went to pick-up the car, i was UNABLE to do so, because AVIS do not accept credit cards!! only bank deit and savings cards , WHICH NEED TO HAVE YOUR NAME ON THEM. while i had both the BANK DEBIT AND SAVING CARDS with me, SA BANKS DO NOT REFLECT THE ACCOUNT HOLDERS NAME ON THESE DEBIT AND SAVINGS CARDS. AVIS WOULD NOT ACCEPT CASH??? likely i had a backup booking with HERTZ / DOLLAR car rental , who processed the car hire contract without a hitch , and they were very happy with the CREDIT CARD. thank YOU HERTZ / DOLLAR CAR HIRE!!!
