AVIS/BUDGET credit card *******
<p>I paid to rent a car with the Avis/Budget, collected the car on 14.10.2016 from their branch at the airport. I paid the deposit which once i returned the vehicle got my deposit back. I recieved a call from my bank informing me that Avis/Budget have put through a transaction on my credit card for close to R6000. When i called them to query the amount i was told it was for damages to car but when i returned the car the consultant assured me that everything was fine and asked me if i fulled up the car which i did. I was under the impression that because i recieved back my deposit all was in order with the car. Upon further investigation i noted that these transactions were put through on my account on 14.10.2016 the day i had collected the vehicle. At the callcentre i was told that the branch manager needs to investigate the incident. The manager never got back to me, eventually after spending close to an hour trying to get hold of someone at the branch i was put through to the damages department. Where they eventually sent me an email stating that i should treat this matter as confidental and they will return my money. I queried anyother amount that was also put through on my credit card that was for returning the car late. My flight was at 08:55 on 16.10.2016, they claimed i returned the car at 11:00. I sent through my flight details indicating that there was no way i could return the car at that time because i would have already been at my destination. When i queried this matter with the consultant that assisted me with my damages claim she sent me an email highlighting the fact that all funds were returned to me. When i sent through a cut out of my bank statement with evidence of the transactions that were put through on my credit card by them. I have yet to recieve any feedback from them. I am unpatiently await my money back. My biggest issue is when you hire a car you have to give them your credit card details but then they have rights to put through transactions that i was never notified of.</p>
