Avis - bogus complimentary ticket
AVIS continues to exploit customers. A couple of months back I complained of bad service received from AVIS, where they were refusing to pay back my deposit. After a long struggle I finally got my deposit back and was given 3 days complimentary tickets.
I approached the reservation team with the intent to use the vouchers. I was slapped with a deposit request of R12k. I am really wondering how and why AVIS would give me a complimentary ticket and expect ushc high deposit, notwithstanding the financial situation I am finding myself in..
I find the complimentary ticket being a tool that was meant to lure me to hire a car and had nothing to do with apologizing for the inconvenience that they caused.
