AVIS ARE A BUNCH OF *******

<p>I rented a car from Avis Rent a Car in December 2016. They only told me about a R21000 insurance excess for applicable for ANY damage after I had signed the papers. I dropped the car off on time with a full tank of petrol and no damage. I was then billed for two arbitrary amounts (totaling R200) and had to wait nearly two weeks to get my depoist back - which they should have used to pay the two arbitrary amounts (which they justified as eTols and some other *******). Now, five weeks later I wake up to an SMS telling me that Avis has taken off a further R305... 5 WEEKS LATER! </p> <p> </p> <p>They only have three numbers which all link to a cnetral call centre . This allows for no accountability and I have yet to find a direct branch number - either I have to physically go into the store or call the call centre. NEVER USE AVIS! I had to cancel my card this morning (due to advice from FNB's ***** devision) just to ensure that they will not be able to take any more money off my account. </p>
