***** at AVIS Offices... I don't recommend you use their service

I am beyond frustrated with Avis Rental after my recent experience that has left me questioning the integrity of their services. I rented a vehicle on April 11, 2025, for just 12 hours to attend a graduation ceremony at Nelson Mandela University and paid R2146 as agreed. Imagine my shock when, just two days later, I was slapped with an additional charge of R5259.81! This is completely unacceptable, especially since I didn’t request any extra services beyond what we originally agreed upon. How can a company that prides itself on customer service treat its clients in such a manner?

To make matters worse, when I disputed this outrageous charge, I received a response from Avis head office claiming that I rented the car for 2 days, 4 hours, and 7 minutes. How can a reputable company like Avis operate this way? I have tried reaching out multiple times to both the head office and the Port Elizabeth location, but my emails have been ignored, and my calls go unanswered. I’m calling on my fellow Avis clients to share their experiences – it’s time we stand up against these ********* practices and demand better from a company that should be prioritizing its customers!
