On Wednesday 8 January we visited Avis Isando to collect our rental vehicle that was organized through Discovery Insure. Paid a deposit of R2740. Tuesday 21 January we returned the vehicle to Avis Isando clean and with a full tank of petrol. From dropping the vehicle off and driving home Avis attempted to deduct R1193.27 from the account i used to pay the original deposit. I called Avis call centre straight away demanding answers. None were forthcoming. I then called Avis Isando and spoke to Drew, who told me that there is no evidence from his side that Avis tried deducting this amount. My bank statement says otherwise. Drew assured me that my deposit will be refunded to me by no later than Tuesday 28 January. I have STILL NOT received my deposit back, and your drive safe APP also was not working BTW. When can i expect my deposit back?
