Almost R10 000 debited from me and counting from the wrong invoice and no response from Avis!

I can count on 2 fingers how many times I have had to waste time to write a review but in this case, I need to protect fellow South Africans from the ordeal I have had to go through. I arrived in Cape Town International during a heat wave for a 2 day trip. I was taken to a car I did not hire by an attendant who told me that the car was new. I saw him look at the mileage and when I sat in I saw he read the kms left until an empty tank, upon returning the car two days later I was informed that the back license plate was missing. I wondered how this could be if the car was new and all I did was leave the car in the hotel, go to restaurants and go to my meeting for which the trip was intended. Regardless I took the responsibility to pay for this. To my shock and horror I was sent an invoice stating I had travelled over 2200 km over and above the 400km free given. There are so many errors on the invoice like stating I received 600 km free when I signed for 400km free. They are stating that I travelled almost 3000 km in a 2 day trip when I arrived late Saturday afternoon and had a meeting on Monday morning? How is that humanly possible and for me to have slept and hung out at my hotel? I have contacted Avis with no response after days of lodging a dispute. I have now checked my account and on two seperate occasions have been debited funds and my account drained. To date-prepare for it- I have been debited R8500 after days of no response into my enquiry. Now, I have proposed that if they have given me the wrong invoice or they cannot read their own electronics or they were overbooked or overwhelmed on the day of the heat wave, that they collate and check this supposed stat on their tracker. I will not stop until every last penny has been returned to me for the massive inconvenience to me!!!!

Absolutely appalling customer service and zero resolution after days of no response. I have attached email proof of delayed days of correspondence where I was charged a second deposit and it was acknowledged in one email by one representative that it will be reversed on my bank account within 2-3 days later seen in image 1 attached below. Days later I received an email from Avis stating there is no bank hold on my card and therefore the R3000 billed will not be returned seen in image 2 and I have sent a bank statement to the rental insurance that R3000 was debited from my account not as a hold of deposit but an actual debit. The additional R5500 billed where I was accused of driving over 2200 kilometers was not resolved as I asked for the tracker to collate the kilometers with the routes I travelled. I have received no such mapping of these supposed kilometers and no proof of where the mileage added up to that where I did not even fill up R300 in the tank upon return because I did not even use up the 400 km included within the rental agreement. I received from Avis a starting number of mileage of 988 km when in fact I told them all along that that number was 988 km until the petrol tank was empty which I was watching go down as I used the car. I myself tracked the km used as I was only in Cape town for a two day trip for a meeting and did not use up even 340 km. Not only did Avis act completely negligently and ***********ly when reading their analytics to bill me but took almost two weeks to respond and I am getting conflicting emails as seen below with no resolution and I did not receive any tracker map of my routes to prove the supposed kilometers I have been charged with. I know that car I used has a tracker because I received a message from Avis on Saturday evening that the car is being tracked for speed in case of an accident. This is seen in image 3 attached. I now have gone international and lodged an escalation seen in image 4. The amount of stress and frustration I have had to go through has been absolutely abominable !!!
