Absolutely Shocking!!

I booked a vehicle using a card on my husband's account and added him as the main driver. Avis had no problem in retrieving the funds for the booking. Once we landed at Cape Town Airport they told us that since I made the booking, I needed to be the main driver and proceeded to charge me R450 extra to add me as the main driver! I asked the lady to cancel the booking and to redo the booking with my husband as the main driver. She said that because it was my error I will loose the whole amount of the booking and will need to repay for the booking. I was in shock by this stage. Apparantly they are trying to protect their customers. Which I still do not understand how. I mean. A wife making holiday bookings is surely not something new!
