Infested property

I was assisted by an elderly woman named Colleen. Upon moving into the property, minor issues were addressed and resolved. However, I soon noticed a significant ****roach infestation in the kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom areas, particularly in the evenings. I attempted to mitigate the issue by purchasing pest control products and implementing cleaning measures, initially believing it to be a minor problem. It was only when my helper informed me that the ****roaches were originating from the cupboards that I realised the severity of the issue.

I requested that the property be fumigated, but this request was refused, with the suggestion that the ****roaches were introduced with my personal belongings. I find this response to be unprofessional and unacceptable. If the necessary maintenance and repairs are beyond the owner's financial means, it would have been more transparent to communicate this.

Colleen hasn’t acknowledged being aware of the ****roach issue. This may explain the low rental price for a 2-bedroom unit and the rapid turnover of tenants. I regret engaging with Colleen and her agency due to their unprofessional conduct, particularly the rushed inspection and pressure to expedite the rental process.
