I recently had an unfortunate encounter with one of your clients or one of the people that you sponsor. They are a member of FCS Trading group and I was very dissatisfied with the treatment that I received from them as an aspiring business woman. One of the members of the group known as Simba Makunga recently approached me for a business deal and I was quite surprised because we had not spoken for over a year and his advances via Instagram came as a shock to me. We spoke for a while and he invited me to a business dinner at Rhapsodys in Hatfield and I accepted his request and went to dinner with him under the impression that we would discuss business. When we arrived at the restaurant he gave me the proposal that he wants me to market his business on my business social media page and he would then pay me R500 for every person that I brought to his company. I politely declined that offer because I was going to use my personal contacts and I requested that he pay me R1000 for my efforts and hard work. He then refused and kept on mocking me both as a female and a business woman saying that he was not going to pay me for anything and he stated that I was being ridiculous. I then proceeded to say R750 to which he rep**** with a shrug and said that we would talk later. We continued to speak while we were at the restaurant and he offered me a place to stay, unaware of the fact that I already had an apartment at Loftus Villas because I currently work at Virgin Active Loftus. I told him that I had not taken the job there because I didn’t want him to be involved in my personal life at all. I then proceeded to go home after the dinner. We spoke again via WhatsApp and he requested that I do a promotion for his business via social media to which I told him that I charge. He then got upset and told me that he knows bad bit**es that are making more money than me. I then didn’t respond to this because I sensed a desperation within him that could not be compensated for. I then went to bed and rep**** the next morning saying that I would do a single promo and that he should send the relevant information and that he would pay me at a later date to which he agreed. The post received quite a few reviews and I noticed that the social media following increased quite a bit after I posted it on my page. This could be due to the fact that my business page is mostly followed by females who are very business oriented. He then however proceeded to make ***ual advances at me, including even trying to kiss me and when I didn’t want to, he gave me a strange look and asked me why. I just shrugged it off because I didn’t want to hurt his feelings even though the actual reason is that I am in a serious relationship and I am not attracted to him in any way. We were supposed to meet again to finish discussing the business but then he told me he was at his aunts place in Midrand. He then called again about 2 hours after we had had our conversation and told me he was in Hatfield and that he was able to meet me at UrbanNite. I then proceeded to Hatfield and when I was on the way there he told me that I shouldn’t come anymore because he had snuck out of his aunts house in Midrand to come see me and she was angry and wanted him to come back immediately. I then got angry because I had already made other plans for the evening and he had made me cancel my plans even though he knew that he did not have any intentions of coming to discuss business with me. This escalated into an argument because I had now wasted my time and money and I had canceled important plans just to go to something that was obviously not going to happen. He then proceeded to send me voice notes saying that I quote: “You act like you’re the sh*t but you aren’t. I didn’t want to see you because you act all expensive and you’re not. You’re broke and you should be humble like the rest of us who are broke and still remain humble. You like to act all independent like you’re the **** but you should let people like me help you”. All of the statements he made were very confusing to me because he asked me to do promotions for him yet I’m not good enough to do promotions for him so he managed to contradict himself several times while apparently trying to make a fool out of me. I didn’t reply to this and he sent the laughing emojis which to me proved the fact of immaturity to me. I then told him I was going to meet my boyfriend that evening and he called me a nasty foul bit*h. He said things like “imagine if I had actually ****ed you”. This really shocked me because I have put pictures of my boyfriend several times on my WhatsApp profile, many of which I was with him so as not to cause and confusion and this was mostly obvious even when we spoke. He proceeded to call me names like ***** otherwise commonly known as hoe and blatantly stated that I was only interested in him because he had started a forex business. I was shocked because I was not at all interested in him. He told me that my business would fail and that all my efforts into my business would amount to nothing. He told me that I was broke and that I was ultimately good for nothing except to be a plaything as he mentioned that he dribbled me, which plainly meant that he played me. I was still very shocked at this because once again as I had mentioned several times, I had no interest in him that had anything to do with a personal relationship. He then proceeded to ask for another promotion even though he had insulted me so much to which I politely declined because I do not want any further involvement with him. What I ask of your company is that you evaluate the capacity of your employees to deal with clients especially females and that you ensure that they are fully equipped with the professional s****s to handle clients. I’m very upset and I feel that my company has been ******. I could have been dealing with more valuable clients but instead I had to go through this awful ordeal. With it being women’s month. I felt that I should make you aware of the way that your partners are treating clients and the repercussions that they might have. I plan on taking a stand on women abuse of any kind and I plan on ensuring that this never happens to another female again. I am going to ensure that he never address a female in such a degrading, disrespectful and dehumanizing way again.

We no longer live in a primitive, male-dominated world where women are expected to be submissive to men. Gender equality is an issue that I am very passionate about and equality within the workplace is where it should all begin.

Therefore, I urge you to please ensure that effective preventative measures are taken as such an incident is sure to have a negative impact on your business as a whole.
