Money gone missing.

This past weekend we were celebrating my birthday at avalon with family and friends.

We had 3 mountain chalets booked. From the 5th to the 7th November.

When we had to check out on Sunday Morning , I realized that I forgot a R500 in the robe in my room , chalet 607. I ran back upstairs and the cleaners were cleaning and some of them even sitting down having a party with all the food and drinks we left behind.

I asked them if anyone saw the money in the robe since they have to check the pockets when taking out the dirty laundry and they said No. there was about 6-7 people in the same house , cleaning and eating. Someone stole the R500 from the robe and the way the situation was handled by the manager Linton is very disappointing.

It’s two days later ; I keep getting feedback (when I call) that they are investigating: two days later!!! What are you investigating?? Someone stole the money and they are now lying about it . The fact that Velda from Avalon ( according to her is in charge of lost and found ) has the audacity to tell me that the person said it was not taken and that’s that. Is disgusting.

I am very unhappy. And I will not recommend this place to any of my family and friends. This is not the first time I’ve heard about things going missing at Avalon. The fact that you don’t care about resolving this matter is pathetic and unprofessional.

I would like this resolved !
