AUTOZONE Centurion - Pathetic customer service!

I visited Autozone Centurion this morning to purchase a 5 L of Engine Oil for my Audi Q7. There were 3 products on the shelve, Castrol Edge, Castrol Magnatec 5W30 for diesel engines as well as Castrol Magnetec 5W30 for petrol engines. Both the Magnetec products were marked down to R549.

When I reached the counter to pay, the cashier battled to process the price as per the label attached to the shelve. After a while he visited the shelve and found a different label lying on the shelve reflecting the price as R629?

I mentioned to him that I am not willing to pay the higher price and requested he billed me thee lower price. He then start a debate ending in an argument that I must pay the higher price.

I refused and demanded the lower price. During the argument he accused me of ***** and that I switched the labels. What utter nonsense!

I then told him he will loose the whole sale and I will contact the media. Only then did he agree to bill me the lower price.

I am so disgusted in this unprofessional and poor customer service I received from this sales person. Autozone will never ever see me again, as they lost me as a customer for good.

Scandalous!
