Auto Experts shines

There are a good many New Car dealerships that could take a lesson from the service I received at Auto Experts. I am not one for buying second hand cars, mainly due to a perceived distrust of dealerships and the global stigma of secondhand car salesmen as a whole ("Would you buy a second hand car from this guy?").

Anyway, we needed a half ton bakkie and not wanting to shell out for a new Nissan NP200 we looked for a used option. The Chev Utility we found at Autoexperts fitted our requirements and the price was acceptable.

The vehicle had one or two minor defects as expected from its age, but Sean the salesman, assured us that they would be fixed before delivery.

With some trepidation I made an online payment and we completed the paperwork. But it turns out that my fears and prejudice were unfounded. When payment had been received, we were kept up-to-date with the repairs and registration process. Sean even mentioned that they must buy me a jack and wheel spanner as these were missing from the car. He also asked if a bottle of champagne would be suitable as a small 'thank you' gift.

When we collected the vehicle, the repairs had been carried out as promised and the car looked new. We had the traditional ribbon on the car and publicity photos, something I had not expected at a used car dealership. We also received the bottle of (non-alcoholic) champagne.

All-in-all Auto Experts were a pleasure to work with and the experience has gone a long way in changing my perceptions of second hand car dealerships. I am sure there are still many sharks out their, but Auto Experts is not one of them.
