************* service

Took my polo in the first time for a basic service at 90000km where they replaced the thermostat and waterpump. Two months later the car started fuming at the exhaust and water leaked from the front of the car. Was told my gasket/ cylinder head was blown which was then replaced, including the timing chain kit, heater matrix, oil filter amongst other repairs...this cost me a total of R21000. They kept the car for nearly a month. Now its March, a month after all that my car just would'nt start and the battery light went on..there was also a new oil leak from the front. I got a mechanic to have a look who said my alternator needed to be replaced and the oil leak came from the oil filter which autoworks obviously failed to close properly..this caused the oil to leak on my alternator and ruin it. So i had to now fork out an additional R1200 to have the alternator fixed and R350 to get a diagnostic from the mechanic..which could have been avoided if autoworks had done there work correctly. Not sure if this is pure negligence or purposefully done to bring the customer back for more repairs. ************* service , would not recommend them

Good day Najeeba,

I refer to our telephonic conversation earlier. We have picked up a fault with the Oil Filter fitted to your vehicle and we are in the process of phoning all customers that had this filter fitted to their vehicle in order to avoid any further problems. As discussed, Autoworks will refund you the amount for the alternator and new oil filter.

Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to resolve this matter.

Regards,

Minette Williams
