Terrible service from Salt River Autoworks

<p>I am sharing my experience in the hopes that upper management picks this up and does something about it. I apologise for the rant but someone needs to see this.</p> <p>I have never had such a bad experience from an auto workshop. My car is basically in a worse state than when I sent it in for repairs.</p> <p>It started with a timing chain replacement on my Honda CR-V, which I was assured they could do. After three weeks I received my car back - with a misfire in the engine, huge amounts of exhaust smoke and vibrations in the cabin (I have no idea how someone can release a vehicle in that state).</p> <p>So I took the car back and apparently they cracked a bolt when they put the top of the engine back on, which caused the misfire. They then had to re-thread the bolt (drilling though the top) and assured us that the car is now fixed. But now whenever I accelerate the car on the highway or up a hill there is a flat spot in the rev range. Infuriating. There’s more:</p> <p>After a few days of having the car back I noticed a lot of oil pooling under the car, oil smell coming through the AC and a wining noise from the power steering. Again I took it back to Auto works where they told me it was a seal in the power steering that was leaking, and proceeded to quote me on repairs. Only after I wrote them a letter saying that my car has never leaked oil or had problems with the power steering did they acknowledge their fault (almost charging me for the repairs). Apparently when they replaced the timing chain they caused damage to the power steering pipe. </p> <p>Another week later I got the car back again - and this time there was more noise from the power steering and lots of vibration through my car's pedals and steering. It turns out their replacement pipe was not the right diameter (not being a Honda part but a cheaper locally sourced one), but they said they would find the right size pipe and this will fix the problem.</p> <p>ANOTHER week later I received the car and on the first drive out of town the vibration and noise is back. Not to mention more oil leaking from the power steering and this terrible oil smell from the AC. </p> <p>So five trips to Autoworks, I assume a poorly sealed engine top, two faulty powers steering pipes and counting. This problem has STILL not been resolved but I am assured by Autoworks that they are "looking for a pipe but haven’t found one yet". A MONTH has gone by and I have to call or email them for a status update while my car is in disrepair. All of this damage after only sending in my car for a timing chain replacement.</p> <p>I am not an unreasonable person, nor an impatient one. But Autoworks has tested my limits and have taken my patience for granted. I can understand and sympathise with a mistake but this defies belief. If are so bold as to state that your service is "as good as the agents" then make sure you can deliver on this promise.</p> <p>I request that upper management at Autoworks investigate this matter urgently and get my car back to the state it was in when I sent it in to them.</p> <p> </p> <p>From a very frustrated first-time customer</p> <p> </p>
