********** service!!!!

<p>Horrid service, lets AA take my car without my approval, wants to charge me almost 6k to "fix" an alternator they haven't looked at, we don't know if it can be refurbished or if it should be completely REPLACED because it was never taken out to be looked at.</p> <p>When i asked Million the front desk girl why my car is on an AA truck and the guy has my key i got told "because you were angry on the phone earlier so i didn't want to call you"</p> <p>So my question i pose is, if i arrived 20 minutes later they would have just sent my car off with some random person without my approval??</p> <p>this all started after my car was serviced by autoworker milnerton last month, also with quite a bill!</p> <p>WOULD NEVER ADVISE ANYONE TO USE THEM EVER AGAIN!!</p>

Dear Warda Ruiters,

YOU yourself phoned the AA to come and collect your vehicle. The collection order had all your details on with instructions to collect the vehicle from Autoworks Milnerton. Million was about to phone you to inform you that the AA arrived to collect your vehicle, when you showed up at our workshop. After that your vehicle still ended up being towed away by the AA so I am not sure what you are complaining about.

We also did take your alternator out of your vehicle and after testing, we found that it could not be repaired and needs to be replaced. Just because we were gracious enough not to let you pay for the diagnostics, does not mean we did not do our job. Maybe next time we should rather let you pay for the R 638.40 diagnostics that you signed for the morning you booked your vehicle in.

I think this is more a case of ********** Customer.

Regards,

Autoworks Management

Best regards,

Firstly, get your facts straight, they did NOT have all my details because I did not call AA to come fetch the car, that was all done under someone else’s name, so no, you released the car to an AA driver without verifying the information, NEGLIGENT.

Secondly Million was NOT about to call me because when I walked in there and ask what the hell my car was doing on an AA truck without me being informed she said, "I told them they can take the car, I didn’t want to call you because you were already angry on the phone" so me being upset directly results in my car being let go with people who has no authority from ME

SO yes, AA was there to collect my vehicle, and I am 'complaining' about the fact that your 'team' allowed it to just be taken without any prior arrangements or approval from me. what a disgrace.

I really think you and your team needs to get on the same page, because what you are claiming and what Million told me does not lineup. I specifically asked her if the alternator was in the car or not, I was told it hasn’t been taken out yet, when I then asked how then do they know it must be replaced and not fixed she told me, if I give them the go ahead they will take it out, send it off to the auto-electrician to be looked at and then decide, and my quote might then change IF it can be fixed.

I would have been happy to pay the said R 638.40 if they could tell me for sure my handbrake light flashing was NOT as result of the work they did the month before, but they couldn’t because they HAVE NOT LOOKED AT THAT YET

Get your story straight before attempting to put your customer 'straight’.

figure out what’s going on in your workshop before you attempt to liaise with your customers, and while you are at it, go for a few customer service classes. MUCH NEEDED.

Dear Warda

I'm still confused: Did you phone the AA to collect your vehicle or not? The AA said you did. If that is not the case, we will take it up with them.

But do rest assured: We never allow a vehicle to be collected by a third party without getting prior confirmation, just like the AA only left with your vehicle after you arrived and confirmed that they can take the vehicle.

I did not call AA, someone called on my behalf using their details.

you say you never allow a vehicle to be collected without prior confirmation and yet you had NO confirmation from me.

AA was ready to leave when i got there, car lock and loaded on their flatbed, had i arrived 10 minutes later they would have driven off with the car without my 'approval' or 'confirmation', so yes you did allow the car to be collected by a third party without getting confirmation.

But so be it, I have my car back, Thankfully.

utterly appaled by the service, but hey- its a lesson well learnt.
