Bad service (as expected?)

<p>Had to have my wive's car towed in for a water leak repair on the Wednesday before Christmas. I phoned Autoworks and they told me they could assist me immediately. On the Thursday before Christmas, late afternoon, I received an email stating that the car would not be ready before closure on the Friday and that they would only start working again on the 3rd. No explanation on what has to be done or how long it would take. Fast forward to the 3rd of Jan. I phoned and there was a vague indication on what was wrong with little indication on when it would be fixed. Phoned again on 4 Jan and was told I would get formal quote later same day - wow, it happened and I gave go ahead for work to be completed. Amount quoted was R3200 for radiator replacement and I was told car would be ready on afternoon of the 5th. So around 15:00 on the 5th I phoned - sorry car will most likely only be ready on the morning of the 6th.</p> <p>This morning, just before 12, I arrived at Autoworks and wow again, the work has been done. No communication (as per the norm) however and when I had to pay the bill it was just under R3,4k - so yes no surprise there either. </p> <p> </p> <p>Autoworks, you treated me well the first time, the second time sucked (same as the above in terms of no communication, not keeping to timelines and always understating the cost) and this was the last time we did business. I will definitely be advertising your service, but not in the way you would like. All I can say is: good riddance.</p>
