Autoworks Brackenfell: We'll be moving on then.
We've been servicing our vehicles at the same location (previously Le Roux Motor Clinic) for about 9 years now and received great, value-added service for reasonable fees every time.
Unfortunately I cannot say the same from the new establishment. You can expect to pay high mark-ups on outsourced work and the hourly labor rates went up from R285 (as per my previous visit to Le Roux's) to R590. In a nutshell, the cost for overhauling a carburetor was +- R2000, the additional labor & mark up cost was +- R3000.
The discussions with management were pointless and there were clearly no intentions to compromise & meet the customer half-way. To quote the manager directly: "Sulke foute gebeur maar...". I've paid the bill; we'll be going somewhere else next time.

Due to the age of your vehicle we could not source a new carburettor as they have discontinued this part for your vehicle. We removed your carburettor, cleaned it and refitted it in the hope that this will solve the problem. When this did not work we had to remove it again, send it away to be overhauled and refit it again, we also adjusted the CO levels. Autoworks offer a 60 000km/1 year warranty on the work that we do, we therefore are not the cheapest service centre in Cape Town. We strive to deliver quality service by supplying good quality parts and offering the same warranty as the agents in order to give our customers peace of mind.
