Unsafe Repairs and Lack of Accountability
Once again I'm having issues with Bosch Car Service AutoServ Pinetown...
On 30 August 2024, I had my Isuzu KB300 serviced there, during which the ball joints were replaced as part of routine maintenance.
However, less than a year later, on 27 August 2025, another service centre has now informed me that the ball joints are already worn and need to be replaced again. This is far below the typical lifespan of such components, which should generally last at least 100,000 km under normal conditions.
This raises serious concerns about the quality of the parts used or the workmanship involved. I contacted the workshop manager, Thervan, who advised that I take the vehicle to another service provider for a second opinion and for further inspection while he consults his director. Turns out they do need to be replaced again.
I have requested: - Full details of the parts used (brand, specification, and warranty), - An explanation for the premature failure, - Clarification on warranty coverage, and - A fair and prompt resolution.
To date, I am still waiting for a clear response. Given the safety-critical nature of ball joints, this is not something that should be taken lightly. I rely on my vehicle daily, and the possibility of faulty parts or workmanship is both unacceptable and dangerous.
I hope Bosch AutoServ Pinetown takes this matter seriously and resolves it appropriately. Until then, I cannot recommend this branch based on my experience.
