DISSATIFIED AND FRUSTRATED CUSTOMER

I Floyd Govindsamy on visting the Dealership Autonische in Springfreild Park Durban. I was assited by a sales person Yugen Govender, who assited me with the vehicle that I took interest in. It was a 2003 Isuzu Kb 300 Double cab with a mileage of 300000Kms. I requested a final purchase price for this vehicle all Inclusive of the on the road costs. The sales people offered me this vehicle for a final price for R90000 on the road after speaking to his superior. I accepted the offer on conditions that the vehicle goes for its Roadworthy checks and all faults arising will be repaired. I was assured by the sales person that I was purchasing from a reputable company and they will fulfill all my requirements as agreed. I was also informed of the 7 days exchange plan, should I not be totally satisfied with my purchase. however I was pleased with the deal pending on all that was agreed upon. On the 21st September 2016 at the opening of business, I revisited the dealership to test drive the vehicle and make full payment of the vehicle. I discovered mechanical problems with the vehicle, such as clutch issues( difficult gear selection) and the salesperson had acknowledged it. The brakes were also poor as the vehicle refused to stop almost immediately. I pointed out to the salesman the two major faults on the vehicle. On arrival at the dealership the salesperson contacted his superior annd told him about the issues with the vehicle and they have agreed to have the faults repaired as per the Roadworthy Inspection. I was pleased witht the decision , however I was then asked to pay a further amount off R2000 to have the clutch replaced. Prior to paying for the vehicle I did request for an offer to purchase and the salesperson enlightened me that they not a fly by night company and that they do everything by the book. that is found to be just another lesson of being responsible for a poor purchasing decision making. I proceeded to the FNB in the same building were I had done a direct transfer off R92000 into the account provided by the sales representative. I further paid R1000 in cash for a personal request that I also included of which no receipt was given. on leaving the dealership I was told that my vehicle will be roadworthy and inclusive of License and Registration. During the cause of the week I continued follow ups on the progress of the vehicle as I had mentioned the urgency of having a vehicle. A copy of the vehicle inspection sheet was sent to me by the sales representaive. I thereby

contacted him to discuss the numerous mechanical faults found on the vehicle as per the roadworthy inspection report. The dealership was not pleased to deliver the goods as promised, they refused to repair all the faults that the vehicle had failed for, mainly oil leaks, brakes, and Tyres. The sales person had called me the 28/09/16 and told me that the dealership was not prepared to spend anymore money as this is escalating costs. I told him that I was not pleased as this was a total breech of sale. He called me later the same day and told me he cancelled the deal and requested my banking details to refund my money in full. To date 7/10/2016 I have not received my refund nor any courtesy calls from the dealership. The dealership only agrees to refund me my money excluding the repair costs. This is not a fair decision as they have not hounored the agreement and have insisted cancellation. This dealer is full of promises and care very little about customer care and peace of mind motoring. I am totally disappointed and frustrated my next step is to take this legal.
